FakeIt ("we", "our", or "the app") is a local multiplayer party word game developed by Mih41. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

FakeIt is designed to work entirely on-device. We collect minimal data:

Player names — entered by users, stored locally on the device only via SharedPreferences. Never transmitted to our servers.
Custom words — any custom words added by users are stored locally on the device only.
App settings — language preference, music toggle, premium status — stored locally.
Advertising data — collected by Google AdMob (see Section 3).

We do not operate any servers, create user accounts, or store any personal data remotely.

2. In-App Purchases

FakeIt offers an optional one-time Premium upgrade processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase records are managed by Google Play. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of FakeIt displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
IP address
App usage data for ad personalisation

Premium users see no ads and AdMob is not active for them. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device's settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation). For more information, see Google's Ads Policy.

4. Children's Privacy

FakeIt is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The app does not require registration and does not collect any data that would identify a child. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob subject to Google's family policies.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to remove it.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as described above (Google Play Billing, Google AdMob) which are governed by Google's own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

All locally stored data (player names, settings, custom words) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app. Since we have no servers, no data persists after uninstallation.

7. Permissions

FakeIt requests the following Android permissions:

INTERNET — required to load ads and process in-app purchases.

No other sensitive permissions (camera, microphone, location, contacts) are requested.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
